Welcome to Community 28's website!
I am so excited to be joining the Dunning community. This is my first year at Dunning, and my second year teaching fifth grade. I've also taught in positions focused on math, special education, and social-emotional learning in Newton, Andover and Boston. I studied Elementary Education and Psychology during my undergraduate career at Northeastern University. After teaching for a year, I returned to graduate school to study Elementary and Special Education and earned an MS from Boston University's Wheelock College. I love coming to school everyday ready to engage with my students, grow our thinking, and try new challenges.

Facts about Ms. Hurley!
- I am a big Boston sports fan, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. I am a Red Sox season ticket holder and am lucky enough to attend about 10 games each season!
- I love Cape Cod! During the summer, I love to swim, read on the beach, bike, and be outside as much as possible.
- I like to run long distances. I'm not very fast!... but I've run a 10 mile race at 10,000 feet in Colorado and 18 miles in a 200 miles relay race in Vermont. I'm hoping to heal some injuries and get back at it!
